Description Daniel Pocock 2014-01-28 02:21:34 CST
Frameworks like systemd have the ability to bind privileged sockets (such as TCP port 443) and then pass the socket to an unprivileged daemon process when the process starts.

It is explained here:

http://www.freedesktop.org/software/systemd/man/systemd.socket.html

It would be useful if transports could be initialised from sockets created using this mechanism.
